Yes; greenery can be ordered starting in mid-October. The last day for orders that we can guarantee to be ready for pick up by opening day is Friday, November 14, 2025. Visit the “Wreaths & Greenery” page for more information.

We provide twine for you to tie your tree to the roof of your car. If you have ratchet straps, you are welcome to bring them. Our staff can assist you in fastening your tree to your vehicle if you are unable and need assistance. Keep in mind that the load bearing capacity of your car’s roof is limited. If you have your heart set on purchasing a large tree, we strongly recommend bringing a truck or trailer.

Absolutely! However, for the safety of your dog and our customers, all dogs must be on a leash while on farm property. Please pick up after your pets.

No. Chainsaws (gas and battery) are not allowed in the tree fields. We have freshly-sharpened hand saws available for you to use to cut your tree. If you are physically unable to cut a tree down, please call ahead for assistance, or feel free to select a pre-cut tree from our barn.

Please do NOT do this! Cutting a tree “high” (more than a few inches above the ground) in order to get a shorter, less expensive tree is wasteful and can be dangerous to other customers and our UTV drivers. Our staff would be happy to trim the trunk or lower branches on your tree before you take it home.

You are welcome to come to the tree farm before the Christmas season by appointment only. However, we cannot guarantee that the tree you flag won’t be cut down by another customer before you return.

Like all plants, the rate of tree growth is affected by species, genetics, soil, weather, and stressors (i.e., disease, pests). On average, it takes a Cooks’ Woods Christmas tree 7-10 years to reach a height of 7 feet. Count the tree rings after cutting your tree to see how old it is!
